Item BK-08. Plymouth in the Words of Her Founders. By Dr. Paul Jehle. 150 pages, soft cover. This pocket-sized, illustrated guidebook to Plymouth, MA  (size: about 4" x 7") is unique in that it interprets the many monuments erected in the town and other locations in Massachusetts in memory of the Pilgrims. Each is illustrated and described. The actual words of the Pilgrims are used to provide background information about the monument. $10.00

Tall Ships of Duxbury Book

Item BK-10. Tall Ships of Duxbury by Frederick T. Potter. Duxbury was for many years a shipbuilding center with no less that twenty separate yards. Ezra Weston ("King Caesar") whose home still stands in town was reputed to be the largest ship owner in the country during the heyday of the tall ships. BK-19. NewAlden House History: A Work in Progress by James W. Baker, Curator. This is the first comprehensive history of the Alden House to be published. It tells the story of how the Alden family acquired their homestead in Duxbury, about two houses they built on the homestead (and the unsolved mystery of a possible third house), about the people who lived in the Alden House that still stands today, and about the Alden Kindred’s century of stewardship of the house and property.  Paper cover, 60 pages, $6.00.
